Shia Ulema Council supports outlawed SSP-backed candidate against MWM’s

Shia Ulema Council of Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi has announced their support to an electoral candidate who the outlawed terrorist group Sipah-e-Sahaba is also supporting. 

Outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba’s official Bilal of Tehsil Athara Hazari announced that they will support Ghazanfar Ali Jiwna, an independent electoral contender from PP-82.

Qaisar Abbas Siyal, an official of the Shia Ulema Council Tehsil Ahmed Pur Sial said that they will support Ghazanfar Jiwna on the PP-82. He said that it is their party policy that they send their recommendations to the party headquarter and the party leadership that is Allama Sajid Naqvi decides what to do.

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, another leading Shia party has fielded Allama Azhar Kazmi, himself a scholar on the PP-82. He is brother of Allama Mazhar Kazmi. The outlawed terrorist group Sipah-e-Sahaba that has been renamed as Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat and itself has fielded its candidate from an alliance Muttahida Deeni Mahaz.

It is surprising that Shia Ulema Council is supporting the candidate who was involved in anti-Shia activities. Shia Muslims of the constituency are dismayed and planned to protest against the SUC leadership’s decision.
