Shareef Family’s off shore companies revealed
Shiite News: Secret documents of Mosaic Francisca, Panama’s renowned Law firm working for overseas taxation, have revealed financial assets of powerful political personalities of the world, including Pakistan.
The documents include the names of many rulers including Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Saudi Arabia’s King, Iceland’s PM and Pakistan’s PM Nawaz Sharif.
The 2.6 terabytes’ documents from the database of Mosaic Francisca have been declared greater than the US’ diplomatic letters.
The data published by Panama Papers on the website of International Consortium of Investigative Journalism also contains the names of Nawaz Sharif and his family members’ off-shore holdings. According to the data, PM’s children Maryam, Hassan and Hussain were either owners of several companies or responsible for their financial matters.
Maryam Nawaz has been told to be the owner of Nelson Enterprise Limited and Nescol Limited in British Virgin Iceland. But Nelson Enterprise is told to be located at Sarwar Palace in Jaddah in ICIJ.
In a document of June 2012, Maryam Safdar was declared as the ‘beneficial owner’.
According to ICIJ, Maryam and Hussain had signed a document for getting loan of $13.8 million from Deutsche Bank, Geneva in June 2007. Afterwards, in July 2014, both the companies were transferred to another agent.
Similarly, Hassan Nawaz Sharif is declared as the only director of Hengan Property Holdings located in British Virgin Iceland. Hengan had purchased Cascon Holdings, located in Liberia, in August 2007 for $11.2 million.
