Karachi: Cases filed against 4 Friday prayer leaders under the Loud speaker act

Shiite News: Law enforcement agencies have filed 363 cases under the NAP, in central and western parts of the city, during less than two years in order to stop the wrong use of loud speakers.

According to Dawn news, Molana Muhammad Waseem Sadiq, Imam Syed Najam Shah, Syed Aslam Qadri and Muhammad Mansoor Attari are among those speakers against whom cases have been filed from 12th to 19th March in Karachi.

Officials of New Karachi police station told that the cases have been filed for inciting religious sentiments and for violating sound system laws, implemented a year ago.

Hundreds of cases have so far been filed against speakers, demonstrators and wedding managers in central and western districts of Karachi since the implementation of the ordinance.

According to a report of West zone police, out of 222 cases field in western district 216 were filed for violation of sound system laws during prayer timings whereas 4 were field for making sectarian and conflicting speeches.

Police officials told that the report has not yet been send to the interior ministry and no one has been arrested.
