MWM to show strength at Nishtar Park on April 21
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has announced on Friday that they will express their strength and mass support at a public meeting on April 21.
“Our supporters will fill the Nishtar Park on April 21,†said Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, Secretary General of the MWM Karachi chapter speaking at a meeting of his party on Friday.
Electoral contestants Maulana Ali Anwar, Shakir Raujani, Maulana Deedar Jalbani, Asghar Abbas Zaidi and MWM officials Allama Haider Abbas, Mubashir Zaidi and Asif Safavi attended the meeting.
Allama Taqvi turned down the idea of postponement of Elections saying that nation would neither accept delay nor electoral fraud. He said that Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen would emerge as a big electoral party since it enjoys mass support.
“We have no enmity with any political party but we shall not countenance anyone to rob us of our legitimate rights,†he asserted.
He said that MWM believes in the politics of reconciliation and reject the confrontational politics. He said that the doors were open for electoral adjustments and conditional support to the candidates of other parties.
“Caretaker interior minister’s statement in favour of a particular politician brings his impartiality into question and he should be replaced with another impartial minister,†he demanded.
He said that the committees were formed to make arrangements for the April 21 public meeting at Nishtar Park.
