Shia Ulema Council to support JUIF if latter backs former in DI Khan

ramzan touqeer Shia Ulema Council has put the condition for electoral adjustment with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal ur Rehman) (JUIF) saying they will back the JUIF candidates if they will back SUC /Islami Tehrik Pakistan’s candidate. SUC has decided to take part in the general elections 2013 from the platform of Islami Tehrik Pakistan. The IST has fielded Khadim Hussain Awam from Dera Ismail Khan City I seat. Maulana Ramzan Tauqeer, president SUC Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa chapter made clear speaking at a meeting at Jamia Masjid Thullah Village that the SUC/IST’s electoral with JUIF was conditional. He said that electoral adjustments with the JUIF would be made in DI Khan and Jhang district after they would back Khadim Hussain Awan. He said that they have conveyed their demand to the JUIF leadership and ask them to announce their support for Khadim Awan. The IST’s nominated candidate Khadim Awan said that Shia and Sunni voters of his constituency have expressed their support to his candidacy and after having been elected as legislator, he will serve the people of his constituency.
