Shahbaz Taseer returns home after years in captivity
Shiite News: Shahbaz Taseer, son of former Governor of Punjab Salman Taseer, safely reached home after 4 years, 6 months and 12 days (1652 days) of captivity.
He was kidnapped on 4th January 2011 from Gulberg area of Lahore, during the daylight, 7 months after his father was slayed by Mumtaz Qadri.
Shahbaz Taseer was recovered from Baluchistan and as soon as the news was aired on the media, celebrations started and everyone, including the family, journalists, politicians and even strangers, expressed happiness on the rescue of Shahbaz Taseer and congratulated the family.
Sentiments were also expressed over social media and people voiced their support for the late governor’s son and his family. Shahbaz Taseer became the trend on Twitter after he was recovered by the security forces from the Kuchlak area of Baluchistan on Tuesday.
