Today marks the 21st death annivarsary of the martyrs of Mehfil-e-Murtaza.

25th Feb, 1995, around 7 am theresidents of the area were surprised to hear the sound of heavy gun fire. Some nearby residents saw a white car fleeing the scene.

When the residents reached at the spot they saw bodies of 16 people lying one the floor of the Imambargah in a pool of blood. Out of which two wounded person survived where as twelve died at the spot and two on the way to hospital.

The victims were gathered at Mehfil e Murtazaafter Sehri and morning prayers for funeral arrangements of another person when four Sipah-e-Sahaba gunmen entered the mosque and compelled all the momineen to stand in arow and opened fire on them.

130 empty covers of the bullets were found at the floor after this tragic incident. All martyrs were shot on the upper end of neck, which means that terrorists were well trained.

Incident of Mehfil-e-Murtaza happened just after two hours of the incident of Imambargah Abul-Fazal-Abbas which is situated in P.I.B colony about 2 two km away from Mefil-e-Murtaza.

Needless to say,all the terrorists are still at large.
