Terrorists’ new design for targeting educational institutions

In view of the threat that terrorists might add poison to water tanks of educational institutions, government of Punjab has declared water tanks and roofs of all educational institutes of the province as extremely sensitive and has ordered their strict surveillance. Head of educational institutes have also formed teams for check and balance and have high alerted the security on roofs.

According to Media reports, Punjab government has issued a directive to the heads of government educational institutes in which it has been said that terrorists could adopt a new strategy for targeting educational institutions and government has received information that terrorists could add poison in water tanks of institutes therefore, schools should ensure surveillance of water tanks and increase security at roofs.

After the directives of Punjab government, heads of schools and colleges of the province have started forming teams to check water tanks on daily basis and have deployed permanent security guards on roofs. Measures for covering tanks have also been going on.
