The religious capital of Iran witnessed a vehement protest against genocide of Shia Muslims in Pakistan. Six Islamic jurisprudents have already condemned the genocide and demanded of Pakistani government and civil society to take action against the terrorists. Qom is considered the religious capital of Islamic Republic of Iran due to holy shrine of Hazrat Fatima Masoomah, main Islamic University (Hoza Ilmiya Qom) and presence of Islamic Jurisprudents in this city. Students from across the world stay here for studying Islamic Sciences. The teachers and students observed protest on Sunday against the genocide of Shia Muslims. Islamic Jurisprudents who are known as Grand Ayatollahs namely Grand Ayatollah Nasir Makaram Shirazi, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamdani, Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli, Grand Ayatollah Alvi Gurgani, Grand Ayatollah Jafar Subhani and Grand Ayatollah Waheed Khorasani have also issued separate statements to condemn the genocide of Shiites in Pakistan. It is also relevant to add here that great leader of Islamic Revolution Grand Ayatollah Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei had earlier condemned the genocide of Shia Muslims and expressed sympathy and solidarity with the heirs and relatives of the martyrs and entire Pakistani nation. The Islamic Jurisprudents have asked the government to hand over the charge to stronger politicians if the rulers cannot protect the Shia minority.
