Protest in Taxila against Saudi injustices

All Shia organizations of Taxila organized a protest on Sunday at Fatmiyah Imambargah on HMC road against the unjust execution of Sheikh Nimr Baqar al Nimr by Saudi authorities. Demonstrators were holding banners and play cards. Speakers while addressing the protest rally said “Sheikh Nimr neither incited people for armed struggle nor was involved in any secret conspiracy. He only preached people to follow the right path (Amar bil maroof) and his blood will soon show its effect”. The speakers also asked the Islamic community and the whole word to realize their responsibility regarding this issue.

They further said “Sheikh Nimr’s martyrdom is the annunciation of an end to oppressors and tyrants because Islamic riwayahs tell us that Nafs e Zakiya (pure soul) would me martyred before the end of injustice and oppression. Ayatollah Sheikh Nimr was a promoter of unity among Muslims and was a protector of religion’s sanctity”. Speakers also strongly condemned Saudi Arabia’s act of executing Sheikh Nimr.

Participants of the protest also carried out a rally at HMC road and chanted slogans against unjust execution of Sheikh Nimr. Heavy police force was also present at the time of protest.
