Four innocent Shia Muslims being implicated in false cases

Police began implicating four innocent Shiites who the Rangers officials took into illegal custody at midnight raid between February 24 and 25 from their houses in Gulbahar Jafaria Colony.
It seems that the Rangers officials handed over four of 19 held innocent Shiites to the DIG West Police Javed Alam Odho who accused at a press conference that the four were alleged target killers.
 
It is also relevant to add here that Sindh Police Chief IGP Fayyaz Leghari said on record that the Rangers officials arrest accused without any proof or evidence and they are acquitted from the courts. However, for the time being, Police’s media trial of innocent Shia youths has brought a bad name to them and their relatives and the Shia community.
 
Finally, they will be acquitted but police has a tradition of putting Shia youths to media trial to defame law-abiding Shia community and sabotage the cohesive environment of Karachi city.
 
The DIG West has claimed that the arrested youths had belonged to a political party and recently they quit the political party and joined a Shia party. The biased police officer didn’t name the political party and instead he named the Shia party that was an attempt to defame peaceful and law abiding Shia community.
 
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has condemned the arrests of Shia youth and implicating them in the targeted murder cases. They demanded of the judiciary to punish the police and rangers officials who raided their houses without any search warrant and didn’t produce the Shiites during 24 hours since their illegal custody began that is another violation of fundamental freedom of any citizen of Pakistan.
