Pakistan should not be made a part of 34 countries’ military alliance: Altaf Hussain

Shiite News: MQM’s head Altaf Hussain has said “conspiracies for destroying the unity of Muslim Ummah have been going on at international level and people of Pakistan have been once again forced towards the menace of sectarianism therefore, it is the responsibility of ulema, speakers and scholars of all schools of thought to play positive roles for the security and stability of Pakistan, for protection of humanity and for unity among Muslims”. Altaf Hussain also asked rulers of Pakistan to remain neutral in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia and should refrain from making Pakistan a part of the 34 countries’ military alliance. He expressed these thoughts while addressing a huge gathering of ulema, scholars, sajjada naseens, speakers, naat reciters of all schools of thoughts and a large number of people at Laal Qila ground in Azizabad. The gathering was held at a very short notice on the topic of ‘international situation and importance of unity among Muslims in Pakistan’ which was attended by a large number of ulema, speakers and scholars of all schools of thoughts.

Altaf Hussain while addressing the gathering said “in view of international situation I am concerned that Shia Sunni conflicts in Pakistan might be initiated to spill the blood of Muslims because no matter a Sunni dies or a Shia both are innocent humans and killing innocent humans is killing humanity”.

He further said “Daesh has come up as the biggest threat at international level and everyone knows who had made Daesh and who has been supporting it”. He said he was the only leader in Pakistan who was against sending Pakistani forces to Yemen but Pakistani government enforces a ban on airing his speeches. “I am still of the view that Pakistan should not be made a part of the 34 countries’ military alliance. PM of Pakistan should call All-parties conference before taking any decision in this regard and should think a million times before becoming a part of the coalition because it could damage Pakistan and Muslim Ummah”, he added.
