EC, Supreme Court should take notice of PML-N ties with terrorist LeJ: Rehman Malik

rehman malik Interior Rehman Malik has said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) should take action against Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) over its ties with banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). Talking to media in Islamabad at Islamabad Airport, Rehman Malik said banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) is involved in different activities throughout the country and is using Punjab as a hideout. He said that all the details about Lashkar-e-Jhangvi including the list of its 734 activists have been provided to the Punjab Government. The minister hoped that the Lahore based party would move against the banned outfit. Malik claimed that LeJ was responsible for eighty percent of terror plots across the country, adding that the militants take refuge in Punjab province after conducting terror attacks. Referring to the dialogue with Taliban, Malik said that the Taliban should lay down their weapons if they were serious in holding talks with the government. He stressed that the nation needs to unite over the matter of terrorism.
