Channel 24’s transmission stopped in various areas for breaking news of Sheih Nimr’s martyrdom

Pakistan’s television channels have been blamed to do biased reporting but there are some channels that always follow the truth and Channel 24 is one such channel. It was the first one to reveal Saudi Arabia’s recent barbaric act of executing 47 people over which its transmission has been stopped in various areas. People have expressed concern over the suspension of Channel 24’s transmission and declared it as an attack on freedom of expression. People and civil society have demanded the government to immediately restart the channel’s transmission and to take action against cable operators for this act. People have strongly condemned the suspension of channel’s transmission.
