The purpose of the meeting was to influence public opinion in Pakistan regarding Saudi Arabia’s policies, based on injustices, in Arab region by using the journalists. Some writings and news were published by some journalists, after the meeting, which showed that Saudi Arabia has become successful to an extent in influencing and buying some journalists of Pakistan.
Similarly, Aurya Maqbool Jan has also pledged to secure Saudi Arabia’s kingship and its interests and he proved it in an article in which he had tried to justify Saudi Arabia’s military involvement in Syria and Yemen based on that same foreign made up story.
A foreign news agency named ‘Writer’ had published a baseless story about Pakistanis who have gone to Syria for protecting sacred places from Daesh’s terrorists and the story was published upon wishes of Saudi Ambassador in Lebanon.
