Dinner in Honor of Haram Imam Hussain (AS) Delegation, Agreement to Further Strengthen Religious Ties Between Karbala and Baltistan

Shiite News: A sincere dinner invitation was hosted by the great religious scholar and Imam Juma wa Jamaat of the Central Imamia Jamia Masjid Skardu, Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafari, last night at a local restaurant in honor of the respected delegation visiting from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala. This prestigious event was specially attended by the scholars of Baltistan, President of Anjuman-e-Imamia Baltistan Hujjat al-Islam Agha Syed Baqir al-Husseini, and members of the central cabinet. The respected delegation from Haram Imam Hussain (AS) included the Director of Markaz Ashab al-Kisa Global Guidance Center, Sheikh Ahmed Rashid al-Tarfi, Academic Assistant Sheikh Ahmed al-Fatlawi, and Urdu Language Officer Sheikh Saleh Ali Nouri Karbalai.

In this blessed program, very useful discussions were held on religious, preaching, educational, and pilgrimage matters, including the promotion of brotherly ties between Karbala and Baltistan. On this occasion, President of Anjuman-e-Imamia Baltistan Agha Syed Baqir al-Husseini presented two extremely important requests before the delegation. He requested that special care be taken of the legal and administrative difficulties faced by Baltistani youth residing in Karbala, and that employment opportunities be provided to them in various departments of the Holy Shrine so that they can overcome economic difficulties. In the second request, he emphasized that the scope of cooperation should be expanded while keeping in mind the problems and needs of pilgrims of Imam Hussain (AS) coming from Pakistan, especially Baltistan.

The delegation from Haram Imam Hussain (AS) viewed both proposals with great appreciation and assured full cooperation and guidance according to their capacity. At the end of the meeting, the delegation paid glowing tribute to the religious and social importance of Baltistan and the long-standing religious and unifying services of the scholars, especially Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafari, and offered special prayers for his health, safety, and long life. This important meeting was also attended by other respected personalities including Sheikh Zahid Hussain Zahidi, Agha Syed Ahmed Husseini, Sheikh Zakir Agha, and spokesperson Agha Zamani. This meeting was considered an extremely important step towards achieving common goals such as serving pilgrims and the welfare and well-being of the believers.
