“Alvi Politics Is the Best Reflection of Democracy,” Says Allama Ashfaq Waheedi

Shiite News: Allama Ashfaq Waheedi, a leader of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan and Chairman of the OSPAC Interfaith Board, said in a special statement that highly educated young people are struggling to find employment while the public is bearing the burden of inflation. He attributed the situation largely to the rulers’ flawed policies and their preoccupation with pursuing personal vendettas against one another.

He said the country needs leaders who understand the true spirit of democracy and have the ability to address public problems.

Commenting on global affairs, he urged international institutions to take practical steps to end wars and instability.

On August 14, Pakistan’s Independence Day, he congratulated all Pakistanis and said the day should be observed with a commitment to genuine freedom, sovereignty, and independent decision-making.
