Martyred Leader’s Sacrifice Revitalized the Muslim World and Sparked a New Wave of Islamic Renewal, Says Allama Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi

Shiite News: Allama Syed Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi, President of the Jafaria Alliance Pakistan and a prominent Pakistani religious scholar, spoke to a Hawzah News Agency correspondent during his visit to Iran to attend the funeral and memorial ceremonies of the martyred leader. He said that the Muslim world, the oppressed, the disadvantaged, and vulnerable communities across the globe have long suffered under the domination of global and regional powers, dictators, and oppressive rulers.

He said that today’s world is dominated by those who possess military strength, technology, wealth, and political influence, believing themselves superior to others while promoting discrimination based on nationality, race, language, and geography. According to him, this mindset has led to injustice and global inequality.

Allama Naqvi stated that the true solution to these challenges lies in the teachings of Islam. He said that Islam offers a comprehensive social and moral system for humanity, and that Imam Ruhollah Khomeini launched the Islamic Revolution to transform Islamic teachings from theory into practical governance and everyday life.

He further said that the late Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei gave the revolution “new vitality and a renewed spirit.” According to Naqvi, it would not be inaccurate to say that Imam Khomeini initiated the revolution, while the martyred leader strengthened and revitalized it through his martyrdom. He described Imam Khomeini’s revolution as one of awareness, thought, and awakening, while saying that the martyred leader further reinforced it through sacrifice.

Naqvi added that if Imam Khomeini were alive today, he would have followed the same course that the martyred leader adopted, and that the martyred leader remained faithful to Imam Khomeini’s path.

He acknowledged that the loss of the martyred leader was deeply painful but argued that his martyrdom had brought renewed spirit, fresh energy, and a new wave of Islamic revival to the Muslim world. In his view, the event represents hope, awakening, and steadfastness for the Muslim community. He added that God’s promise is that the future belongs to the oppressed and disadvantaged, and that the martyred leader’s sacrifice was a practical example of that divine promise.

During the interview, Allama Naqvi also quoted Persian verses by the poet-philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal, which he said Ayatollah Khamenei frequently recited in his speeches:

“Do you know the meaning of ‘Karrar’?
This is among the lofty stations of Ali.
Nations in this unstable world
Cannot attain life except through courage and steadfastness.”

Naqvi said that Ayatollah Khamenei had a deep intellectual connection with the ideas of Allama Iqbal. He added that he had the honor of translating into Urdu Ayatollah Khamenei’s 1986 lecture at the University of Tehran on Allama Iqbal, which was later published by Iran’s Cultural Center and received wide appreciation in Pakistan.

He further recalled that at the conclusion of that lecture, Ayatollah Khamenei said that if Allama Iqbal were alive today, he would congratulate the Iranian nation and say that the aspirations and dreams he had once expressed had been realized by the Iranian people.

Concluding his remarks, Allama Syed Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi praised all those who, in his words, remained loyal to the “sacred blood, great martyrdom, and divine system,” displaying steadfastness, courage, and bravery. He also expressed his heartfelt condolences over the martyrdom of the late leader.
