Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi Pays Tribute on the Martyrdom Anniversary of Ammar ibn Yasir as

Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi issued a message on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ammar ibn Yasir as, stating that he is regarded among the earliest and most distinguished companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He said that after embracing Islam, Ammar ibn Yasir and his parents endured severe persecution and torture at the hands of the Quraysh. During these hardships, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is reported to have said: “Be patient, O family of Yasir, for Paradise has been promised to you.” His mother was martyred during this period of persecution.

Allama Naqvi also referred to the Prophet’s reported praise of Ammar ibn Yasir, saying that he was “filled with faith from head to toe.”

He further stated that Ammar ibn Yasir had deep devotion to Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) and migrated alongside the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He participated in the Battles of Badr, Uhud, Khandaq, and other major campaigns, earning distinction among the Prophet’s companions for his sincerity, honesty, and courage.

According to the statement, Ammar ibn Yasir was martyred during the Battle of Siffin in 37 AH while fighting in the army of Imam Ali (AS), at approximately ninety years of age. Allama Naqvi said this fulfilled a prophecy attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He concluded by saying that the life of Ammar ibn Yasir remains a lasting example of faith, steadfastness, sacrifice, and commitment to truth, inspiring those who seek justice and righteousness.
