Conspiracy of Secterian violence in Pakistan foiled, Allama Sajid Naqvi

The acting president of Milli Yakjehti Council and chief of Islami Tehreek pakistan of his own faction, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, has said that those involved in sectarian killings do not represent any group or sect but are agents of enemies.

He said the conspiracy hatched to divide the Muslims and the Pakistanis on sectarian lines had been foiled by the Milli Yakjehti Council.

He was talking to reporters after a meeting of the Milli Yakjehti Council which discussed election to the president of the council.

The slot has been lying vacant after the death of Qazi Hussain Ahmed. The representatives of almost all the 27 member parties of the council attended the meeting and it was decided to constitute a special committee under Allama Sajid Naqvi to finalise modes for the election of new president.
Meanwhile, Milli Yakjehti Council secretary general Hafiz Hussain Ahmed of JUI-F presented his resignation at the meeting. However, the meeting did not accept it. Hafiz Hussain even announced in front of the media personnel that he had resigned..
