ShiiteNews: Qom/Rimdan/Taftan – Pakistani students of religious seminaries studying in Iran’s Hawzas are facing serious difficulties while returning home for summer vacations and Muharram preaching activities.

According to reports, students and religious scholars are being held for several days at the Rimdan and Taftan border crossings under the convoy security system. Extreme temperatures and unfavorable conditions have further intensified their hardships.

Affected students stated that they fully respect all legal and security requirements; however, unnecessary delays, inadequate arrangements, and prolonged waiting periods are causing both physical and mental distress.

A student studying in Qom, Arif Hussain, questioned, “How long will religious scholars and students continue to face humiliation in their own country?” Meanwhile, Maulana Haider Ali Domki criticized the policies of the provincial government of Balochistan, calling them regrettable and unacceptable.

Students, scholars, and members of civil society have urged the Government of Pakistan and relevant authorities to immediately remove unnecessary obstacles at border crossings, review the convoy system, and provide relief to returning religious students who are enduring severe heat and prolonged delays.
