Pakistan Senate Chairman Congratulates Ghalibaf on Re-Election as Iran Parliament Speaker

Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has extended his warm congratulations to Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on his re-election as Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, for the 7th consecutive year.
In his message on Tuesday, Gilani expressed confidence that under Ghalibaf’s leadership, the Iranian Parliament will continue to play a constructive role in advancing the welfare and prosperity of the Iranian people and strengthening regional cooperation.

He underscored the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran, are rooted in shared history, faith, and mutual respect, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing parliamentary exchanges and bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
The Chairman of the Senate conveyed his best wishes to Ghalibaf for a successful tenure and expressed hope for continued collaboration between legislative institutions of Pakistan and Iran in promoting peace, stability, and development across the region.
Ghalibaf, the representative of the people of Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat, Islamshahr and Pardis, retained the speaker’s position, after securing a high number of votes in the balloting held in the parliamentary session on Monday.
