Opposition Grants Full Authority for Negotiations to Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri

Shiite News: Important decisions were made during a meeting of opposition parties’ parliamentary group held in Islamabad. The opposition parties granted full authority for negotiations to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri.

According to sources, the meeting was chaired by Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai. PTI’s parliamentary party approved a resolution authorizing the opposition leaders of both houses of Parliament to conduct negotiations with full powers.

The resolution clearly stated that whatever decision Mahmood Khan Achakzai makes will be accepted by the parliamentary party.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mahmood Khan Achakzai said they would continue their movement peacefully, avoid abusive language, and defend the Constitution.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that the parliamentary party unanimously rejected the “minus PTI founder” formula.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said negotiations should not be viewed as weakness, adding that dialogue is necessary if the country is to move forward. He also urged the Prime Minister to come to the opposition leader’s chamber for talks.
