Karachi: Three Rangers personnel martyred in TTP attack
At least three Rangers personnel were martyred and two injured after Notorious Taliban and ASWJ terrorists opened fire at a Rangers vehicle in Karachi’s Baldia Town locality on Friday, officials said.
The law-enforcement personnel were on routine duty, when two gun-wielding terrorists riding a motorcycle opened fire at their mobile after Friday prayers.
Police officials confirmed that three paramilitary personnel, who were inside the vehicle at the time of the attack, sustained injuries whereas another two personnel standing outside the vehicle were killed by the firing.
One of the injured is in a critical condition, he said. Rangers is currently spearheading a grand operation against criminal elements in Karachi. Notorious Taliban and IS terrorists enjoying the support of Banned AhleSunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) and seminaries were targeting Rangers and Police personnel in Karachi to take the revenge of their terrorists killings with LEA’s. District West of Karachi is the safe-haven of IS and Taliban terrorists from last few years but after the Law enforcement agencies operation in Karachi they were hiding in different areas of the city.
