Iran Allows 20 Pakistani Ships to Pass Through Strait of Hormuz, Says Ishaq Dar
Shiite News: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has welcomed Iran’s decision to allow 20 additional Pakistani-flagged ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a positive and commendable step.
In a statement shared on social media late Saturday night, Ishaq Dar said that the government of Iran has agreed to grant passage to more Pakistani vessels. Following this decision, two ships will be able to transit the Strait of Hormuz on a daily basis.
He described the move as encouraging and worthy of appreciation, stating that it reflects a gesture of goodwill and contributes to regional stability.
The Foreign Minister further emphasized that this positive development represents a meaningful step toward peace and will strengthen ongoing collective efforts in that direction.
He concluded by reiterating that dialogue, diplomacy, and confidence-building measures remain the only viable path forward for ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
