Shutdown strike observed in Hangu against suicidal attack on Shia namazis

hangu strikeA complete shutter-down strike is being observed in Hangu on Saturday against suicidal attack on Friday that left at least 27 people martyred after they were coming out of Faizullah Mosque.

The local Shia organization Anjuman-e-Hussaini announced the shutter down strike on Saturday to mourn the massacre of 27 innocent people majority of them were Shiites. Notorious Taliban terrorists are responsible for the blast. All the major markets, business areas, government and private institutions remained closed in Hangu district in protest against the blast on the worshipers.

On Friday, a suicide bomber targeted a Shia mosque (Faizullah Jamey Masjid) in the town of Hangu, killing 27 worshipers and police cops and wounding up to 50 as worshippers who had left the mosque after offering Friday prayers. The bomber detonated explosives packed into a motorcycle in a narrow lane near the mosque.

After the incident, security in the area has been tightened. Hangu police have registered a case against unknown attackers
