Shiite News: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Hajj Affairs, Maulana Muhammad Yousaf  Sardar, held a meeting in Islamabad with Ahmed Ludhianvi, the chief of the banned organizations Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, and a central leader of a takfiri network.
Photographs and videos of the meeting have gone viral on social media, showing both figures seated together and engaged in conversation.
This meeting has surfaced at a time when cowardly suicide attacks against the Pakistan Army and security forces are continuing across the country, with responsibility for many of these attacks claimed by takfiri groups.
Strong anger and resentment have spread among the Shiite community and human rights circles, questioning how terrorism can be eliminated when a federal minister of the state is meeting leaders of banned terrorist organizations such as Ahmed Ludhianvi.
Shiite circles are describing this meeting as an attempt to “patronize takfiri organizations” and “grant them legitimacy at the state level.” Several Shiite leaders, intellectuals, and social media users have demanded that the government immediately clarify the purpose of this meeting and seek an explanation from Federal Minister Maulana Muhammad Yousaf Muhammad Sardar as to why and for what objective he met the leader of a banned terrorist organization.
