Regime Change in Iran Could Bring Israel to Pakistan’s Border: Hamid Mir

Shiite News: Renowned Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir has issued a stark warning, stating that if the United States and Israel attempt a military strike on Iran, the consequences could extend as far as Pakistan’s borders.
In his analytical vlog, Hamid Mir said Iran has fully prepared for retaliatory strikes. If attacked, Iran would not target Washington or New York directly but would instead strike US military bases in the Middle East and launch attacks against Israel.
He noted that while the United States would attempt to intercept attacks on Israel, previous incidents show that Iranian missiles successfully struck Tel Aviv, exposing weaknesses in Israel’s defense systems. Although US support prevented greater damage last time, American defense officials now claim they will block Iranian missiles before they reach Israeli territory.
Mir further warned that a media war would immediately follow any military attack. According to him, efforts would be made to provoke Iranian citizens by portraying the conflict as being against Iran’s leadership rather than its people, urging them to take to the streets.
He recalled that similar attempts were made last year, when the ultimate objective was regime change in Iran—a goal he says remains unchanged.
“This will not be a short war,” Mir emphasized. “It could last weeks or even months.”
He added that installing a pro-Israel government in Iran would have dangerous regional consequences, warning that Israel is not Pakistan’s friend, regardless of claims made by former US President Donald Trump. He cautioned that in such a scenario, Israel could extend its strategic reach to Pakistan’s borders.
