Supreme Leader Approves Amnesty or Sentence Reduction for 2,108 Prisoners

Shiite News: On the occasion of Eid-e-Shaban and the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei approved the amnesty, reduction, or commutation of sentences for 2,108 prisoners.
The approval was granted following a formal request by Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, who submitted the proposal through an official letter.
The decision reflects the Islamic Republic’s tradition of mercy and justice during significant religious and national occasions.
