Procession of Baghpur Dhairi ended peacefully despite fears of extremism

The historical and yearly mourning procession was carried out from the houses of local Sadaat (Syeds) in Union Council Barray, an extremely difficult mountainous area of district Haripur in Khanpur. The procession, after passing through its route, ended at Haweli Syeda, Muslimabad, Baghpur Dhairi. Due to the increasing terrorism in the area there were threats for extremism but mourners shown their determination and continued the historical tradition of mourning for Imam Hussain (as). Police and other law enforcement agencies also ensured security during the procession.
