Joining Gaza Peace Board Is Betrayal of Muslims, Allama Baqir Hussaini

Shiite News: Deputy Imam Juma of Skardu, Allama Syed Baqir Hussain Al-Hussaini, has stated that Pakistan’s participation in the so-called Gaza Peace Board is a betrayal of Muslims, emphasizing that the only path to true peace lies in the complete liberation of Palestine.
Addressing the Friday congregation, he expressed clear and firm views on religious, educational, national, and global issues. He stressed the importance of celebrating the days of Sha’ban, particularly the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AJ), in a befitting manner, and demanded uninterrupted electricity supply on Shab-e-Barat and other religious occasions.
Speaking on educational matters, he said that Baltistan University is a major educational institution which should be run strictly in accordance with its rules, free from religious, linguistic, and political biases. He urged the Vice Chancellor to avoid actions that could invite criticism and termed frequent transfers of teachers as harmful to the academic environment.
He stated that while cooperation with the university administration would continue, any immoral or un-Islamic activities under the guise of academic programs would be opposed at every forum.
Rejecting the Gaza Peace Board, Allama Hussaini said such initiatives are conspiracies aimed at disarming Palestinian resistance and benefiting Zionist forces. He stressed that peace is impossible under occupation, bombardment, and oppression, and that Palestine’s complete freedom is the only solution.
He warned the government that any policy undermining Palestinian resistance would be rejected by the Pakistani nation, and history would hold such decisions accountable.
Addressing upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections, he urged the public to vote on the basis of awareness, performance, and public service, regardless of party affiliation.
