Shiite News: Qasim Ali Qasmi, Focal Person of the Shia Ulema Council Punjab, has strongly condemned the decision of Islamabad judge Afzal Majoka in a case against Iman Mazari and her husband Hadi Chatha, in which Iran and three other countries were declared terrorist states.
He demanded a mental evaluation of the judge and a review of his legal qualifications, stating that the State of Pakistan has never declared Iran a terrorist country, nor can any Muslim even think of doing so.
Qasim Ali Qasmi said that the language used in the verdict may reflect the stance of the United States and Israel, but it does not represent the position of Pakistan or the Muslim Ummah.
He termed the judge completely incompetent, stating that either he was unaware of ground realities or the verdict was written for him by equally unqualified and ignorant individuals.
He further stated that the letter written by Iran’s Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam to the government of Pakistan is fully justified, adding that Iran is an Islamic state which has always maintained good relations with Pakistan and is currently standing at the forefront in defending the Muslim Ummah against Israel and the United States.
