US Failed to Weaken Iran: Allama Shabbir Hasan Mithami

Shiite News: Secretary General of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, Allama Shabbir Hasan Mithami, said that global powers are actively attempting to spread unrest across the world. He stated that the US and the European Union are continuing centuries-old policies of oppression.
He said that recent developments in Iran were related to protests against inflation, which is the people’s right. However, he added that the US attempted to give these protests a sectarian color through its agents and encouraged desecration of sacred symbols to weaken Iran, but failed.
Allama Mithami said the Iranian people proved that they stand firmly with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei. He added that Iran remains strong on its stance and that support from Islamic countries for Iran would yield positive results.
