Allama Ishfaq Wahidi Addresses Interfaith Harmony Gathering
Shiite News: An interfaith harmony event was organized in Rawalpindi under the auspices of the Auspak Interfaith Board, focusing on promoting religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence. The event was presided over by Allama Ishfaq Wahidi, leader of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan and President of the Auspak Interfaith Board, while Sai Muhammad Ijaz Malik, member of the Peace Committee Rawalpindi, hosted the event.
Addressing the gathering, Allama Ishfaq Wahidi said that interfaith harmony and sectarian unity are essential for Pakistan’s stability.
He stated that Islam is a religion that conveys a message of peace, security, and unity of hearts, and there is no space in Islam for hatred or division.
He emphasized that good character, patience, tolerance, and respect for each other’s sacred beliefs are core teachings of Islam.
Other speakers included Peace Committee Chairman Maulana Iqbal Rizvi, Anjuman Tajran President Sheikh Wahidi, Minhaj-ul-Quran Dabbi President Raja Adil, and several community leaders.
