Shiites celebrate the anniversary of beginning of Imamat of Imam-e-Zaman (AS)

Shia Muslims are celebrating the anniversary of beginning of Imamat of 12th infallible Imam-e-Zamana (AS) across the world on Tuesday.

Soon after the martyrdom of 11th infallible Imam Hassan Askari (AS), the Imamat of Ummat transferred to his son Hazrat Imam Mohammad Mahdi (AS). Since then, he has been the Imam of whole of humanity and Muslim Ummah in particular.
Shiites celebrate the anniversary of beginning of Imamat by holding congregations and saying qaseedas. Many organizations cut cakes to celebrate the anniversary.

Imam Mohammad Mahdi (AS) is called Imam e Zamana because he is the world savior and messiah whose appearance the world’s oppressed wait for centuries.
In Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Bahrain, Lebanon, India, UK, US, Canada, Australia and in almost all the countries where Shiites are settled, the anniversary is being celebrated.
