Agha Rahat Hussain Warns of Province-Wide Shutdown Over Missing Youth
Shiite News: A protest sit-in against the enforced disappearance of youth Faisal Abbas has been continuing for the past three days at Captain Shaheed Zameer Abbas Chowk, Gilgit.
People from surrounding areas are also joining the protest in large numbers.
Agha Rahat Hussain announced that the sit-in will continue until all missing Shiite youth are recovered.
He warned that if the missing persons are not produced by tonight, a complete shutdown strike will be observed across Gilgit-Baltistan tomorrow.
It is noteworthy that Faisal Abbas, a resident of Gilgit’s Burmus area, was allegedly forcibly disappeared a few days ago while traveling from Rawalpindi to Gilgit near Chilas Thor.
A protest demonstration is also expected today at Yadgar-e-Shuhada Chowk, Skardu, on the appeal of Agha Syed Rahat Hussain with the cooperation of MWM and other religious organizations.
