Scholars of Baltistan Honour Sheikh Akbar Rajai and Kazim Maisam for Five Years of Principled Struggle

Shiite News: Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Maktab-e-Ahlulbayt (A.S.) Baltistan hosted a dignified dinner in honour of former Assembly Member Sheikh Akbar Ali Rajai and former Opposition Leader Kazim Maisam upon the completion of their five-year parliamentary tenure.
Presiding over the event, Council President and GB Council Member Hujjat ul-Islam Sheikh Ahmed Ali Noori praised both leaders’ principled and courageous parliamentary role during extremely difficult political circumstances.
Speakers said that MWM representatives upheld principled politics even under harsh conditions and set a new precedent for a strong, resistance-based opposition inside the House.
They stated that if such honest and capable representatives are elected from other constituencies as well, genuine development, better governance and protection of resources can become a reality.
The honoured former members thanked the scholars for their appreciation.
