Major Relief for Zaireen — Pakistan Announces Ferry Service from Karachi to Iran
Shiite News: A major development for pilgrims travelling from Pakistan to Iran: authorities have formally announced the launch of a ferry service between Karachi and Chabahar.
The service is scheduled to begin on 1 January 2026, with the inaugural vessel carrying up to 250 passengers. The travel duration is expected to be around 14 hours.
Government officials confirm that all arrangements — customs desks, FIA counters, immigration windows, security checkpoints, port berth allocation and other facilities — have been fully prepared by the Karachi Port Trust.
The initiative is expected to greatly ease travel for Zaireen heading for sacred pilgrimage sites across Iran.
