Gilgit-Baltistan Shia Youth Mysteriously Disappears — Grave Violation of Human Rights

Shiite News: A Shia youth from Gilgit-Baltistan has disappeared under mysterious circumstances from Thor Nala (Chilas) while travelling from Rawalpindi back to Gilgit. Four days have passed yet there is no information, no official acknowledgement and no progress in tracing him.
The young man belongs to a peaceful family with no criminal allegations or disputes. The troubling question remains: On what basis was an innocent citizen forcibly disappeared?
Without due process, evidence or legal warrants, such enforced disappearances violate Pakistan’s Constitution, domestic law and international human rights standards. Locals warn that these actions are creating widespread resentment, insecurity and distrust toward state institutions.
Community and religious leaders demand the youth’s immediate recovery and an end to unlawful abductions.
