Pakistan’s Biggest Crisis Is Violation of Fundamental Rights, Says Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri
Shiite News: Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, head of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, delivered a historic address in the joint session of Parliament, declaring that the gravest crisis facing Pakistan today is the blatant violation of fundamental human rights.
He questioned what kind of Parliament exists where even the Leader of the Opposition is absent, and where bills are abruptly imposed without being provided to lawmakers in advance for study or preparation.
He said that the legislation being pushed through is based on haste and lack of homework, and the entire nation is bearing the consequences.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas added that the people of Pakistan have been deprived of basic constitutional rights, and even the country’s most popular leader, Imran Khan, remains imprisoned without being allowed to meet anyone.
He stated that the opposition’s space has been suffocated throughout the country, their voices suppressed, and their fundamental freedoms violated.
