Taliban Leader Threatens: “Our Followers Present Across Pakistan”

Shiite News: Senior Afghan Taliban figure Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef has issued a stark warning to Pakistan, claiming that although the Taliban lack large conventional weapons, they possess something “far more dangerous”: their ideological supporters spread across Pakistan.
Analysts noted that had such a statement been made by an Iranian official, the reaction in Pakistan—especially from extremist sectarian groups—would have been explosive. The commentary argued that figures like Aurangzeb Farooqi, Ludhianvi, and other Takfiri groups would have taken to the streets claiming “Islam is in danger.”
However, because the threat originated from Taliban circles—whom these groups consider their ideological allies—there has been complete silence from the same factions.
The analysis further stated that these are the same “ideological people” whose violent actions have resulted in the deaths of over 100,000 Pakistanis. Yet public discourse often avoids identifying their sectarian affiliations, resorting instead to the generic phrase: “terrorism has no religion.”
The piece added that these extremist forces trace their ideological roots back to early historical conflicts like the Battles of Jamal and Siffin, and despite killing hundreds of thousands of Muslims, they are incapable of confronting Israeli soldiers.
The commentary concluded with the chilling message conveyed by the Taliban: “Our people are sitting inside your home.” It then questioned: “Where is the voice of the Takfiris now? Why the silence?”
