Imposing Rejected Leaders Upon the Nation Is an Insult to Democracy: Allama Domki

Shiite News: Senior leader of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, has said that the primary reason for Pakistan’s deteriorating situation is the imprisonment of the country’s popular political leadership while “artificial and rejected” figures are forcibly imposed on the nation.
Speaking informally to journalists at Naseerabad Press Club, he said that those whom the public clearly rejected in general elections have been forced upon Pakistan, which is a violation of democratic norms and the people’s mandate.
He asserted that the crises engulfing Pakistan will end within a year if the true political leadership of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other provinces is entrusted with constitutional and administrative authority.
He warned that when peaceful democratic avenues are closed, nations are compelled to resort to violent means for change.
