Pakistan Seeks Stronger Ties with Iran, Says Deputy PM Ishaq Dar

Shiite News: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Dr. Ali Larijani, in Islamabad on Tuesday. During the meeting, Dar emphasized that Pakistan attaches the highest importance to strengthening cooperation with Iran across all sectors.
He congratulated Larijani on his new appointment and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding bilateral relations in security, economic, parliamentary, and regional dimensions.
Larijani, who is also scheduled to meet Pakistan’s Prime Minister, President, and Speaker of the National Assembly, stated before departing Tehran that Iran values its brotherly relations with Pakistan. He expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support during the 12-day war imposed on Iran by the United States and Israel.
Both sides discussed progress on existing bilateral agreements, regional developments, international issues, and key matters related to the Muslim world. Larijani stressed that enhanced Tehran-Islamabad cooperation is vital for peace and stability in the broader region.
