MWM Holds Large Protest in Multan Against 27th Constitutional Amendment
Shiite News: Following the nationwide appeal of Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM), a major protest was held in Multan to oppose the 27th Constitutional Amendment. The demonstration took place after Friday prayers under the leadership of provincial organizer Allama Qazi Nadir Hussain Alvi, district organizer Aun Raza Anjum Advocate, Syed Itrat Kazmi, and Allama Mujahid Jafri.
Protesters raised slogans such as “Long Live Pakistan,” “Long Live the Constitution of Pakistan,” and “Down with the 27th Constitutional Amendment.” Allama Qazi Nadir Hussain Alvi stated that the amendment and related changes would not be accepted, calling for the protection of the constitution as a duty of every citizen. He warned that rushed amendments were being introduced against national interest and stressed the amendment violated Sharia principles, granting undue freedom to corrupt and traitorous elements. Other leaders present included Ali Raza Hasnain, Hasan Raza Haideri, Hasnain Raza, and Hadi Gardezi.
