MWM Sindh Observes Black Day Against 27th Constitutional Amendment
Shiite News: Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) Sindh marked a Black Day in protest of the 27th Constitutional Amendment across the province. Black flags were hoisted at district offices, and activists wore black armbands while staging protests and rallies.
Leaders including Allama Sadiq Jafri, Allama Hayat Abbas, and Allama Mubashir Hassan condemned the amendment, calling it a threat to the constitution, judiciary, and provincial autonomy. They criticized political parties, including the PPP and PML-N, for undermining the constitution and asserted that the amendment disrupts the balance of powers and curtails citizens’ fundamental rights.
MWM demanded immediate revocation of the amendment and restoration of the constitution’s original provisions. Following the appeal of Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, provincial offices prominently displayed black flags and activists actively participated in protests.
