Use of loud speaker allowed during Majaalis and processions

A meeting of senior religious scholars from the Shia sect in Sindh was conducted under the headship of Sindh’s interior minister Sohail Anwar Sayal in which interior secretary Mukhtayar Hussain Soomro, IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali, Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Deputy DG Rangers Brigadear Azhar, Police Chief Karachi Mushtaq Ahmed Mehar, special interior secretary Riaz Soomro and from the side of Shia scholars and organizations, Allama Abbas Kumeli, Allama Nazar Abbas Naqvi, Syed Ali Muhammad Bukhari, Muhammad Yaqoob Shahbaz, Allama Syed Waqar Hussain Naqvi, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Syed Ghulam Muhammad Shah, Molana Syed Muhammad Alam Shah Moosvi, Syed Shabbar Raza, Syed Salman Mujtaba, Molana Syed Muhammad Abbas Naqvi, Syed Ghulam Abbas Shah and others participated in the meeting. Security arrangements during Muharram and Majaalis and processions that are to be held in every city were discussed in detail during the meeting. Religious scholars (Ulema) presented their requests on which interior minister immediately issued orders. All Shia scholars requested that the use of loud speaker is inevitable in order to control and organize majaalis and processions, they said that it is impossible to gather thousands of azadars (mourners) at one place and then to take them to another place without using loud speaker and pamphlet. They asked to allow the use of loud speaker and pamphlets during Muharram u Haram. Interior Minister ordered the administration to allow the use on the condition that they will not be used for spreading aggression and to cooperate with all Shia Ulema so that days of Muharram will remain peaceful and Islamic love and unity will be maintained.
