Opposition Leader Kazim Meesam Chairs United Opposition Meeting in Gilgit-Baltistan

Shiite News: The Leader of the Opposition in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, Kazim Meesam, presided over a crucial meeting of the United Opposition at GB House to discuss the upcoming federal meeting regarding the appointment of the caretaker Chief Minister.
The meeting was attended by Convener Syed Sohail Abbas, United Opposition spokesperson Javed Ali Manwa, senior politician Nawaz Khan Naji, and women members Kulsoom Farman and Kaneez Fatima. Minister Muhammad Saleem, Sheikh Akbar Ali Rajai, and Colonel Ubaidullah Baig participated online.
Participants held detailed consultations on the agenda proposed by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ameer Muqam. After thorough discussions, the United Opposition unanimously decided to attend the federal meeting.
The attendees lauded the Opposition Leader’s efforts in promoting consultation and democratic engagement.
They noted that for the first time in GB’s history, the opposition played a vibrant and visible role both inside and outside the assembly, actively representing public concerns. Kazim Meesam appreciated the cooperation between MWM’s Political Council and the United Opposition, emphasizing joint coordination to strengthen democratic processes.
