Punjab Cabinet Committee and Shia Ulema Discuss Interfaith Harmony

Shiite News: On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Home Department hosted an important meeting between the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, chaired by Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, and a delegation of Wifaq al-Madaris al-Shia Pakistan led by Dr. Allama Muhammad Hussain Akbar.

The meeting reviewed the province’s law and order situation and discussed the promotion of unity among Muslims.

Khawaja Salman Rafique said the Punjab government is committed to interfaith harmony, adding that “Pakistan’s progress lies in peace, tolerance, and unity.”

Home Secretary Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi praised the Ulema’s efforts for promoting peace and pledged to resolve their issues promptly.

The Ulema delegation assured full cooperation with the government for maintaining peace and harmony in society.
