Shiites stage sit-in vowing bodies will not be buried till demands are met

dharnaShia Muslims have started staging sit-in after Friday prayers and vowed that the bodies of the martyrs of Thursday carnage would not be buried till their demands are met.

The sit-in is being staged at Alamdar Road Quetta where the massacre of 75 Shiites occurred on Thursday night. Thousands of Shia Muslims have joined the sit-in. They are raising slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) and Labbaik Ya Mahdi (AS).

“We demand army seize control of the provincial capital of Quetta to protect the Shia Muslims and others,” said Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen at a press conference on Friday.

On the other hand, Shia leaders in Quetta said they would not allow the 85 victims of two bomb attacks in Quetta on Thursday to be buried until their demands were met. 75 of the 85 martyrs are Shiites.
