Parachinar mourns as martyr Dr Riaz Hussain Shah laid to rest

Hundreds of thousands of people participated in the funeral of martyr Dr Riaz Hussain Shah as Parachinar observed a shutdown and wheel jam strike on Thursday.

Renowned Shia politician Dr Riaz Hussain Shah was martyred in Peshawar on Wednesday. His body was brought to Parachinar for interment in his native town Paiwarh. Hundreds of thousands of people began gathering at the place of namaz-e-janaza.

Dr Riaz Shah was known among people of Parachinar as a great leader of Shiites. He had been in Islamabad when notorious Taliban terrorists attacked Parachinar and Dr Riaz Hussain led protest campaign in Islamabad against that unjustifiable attack.

Notorious takfiri terrorists of outlawed Taliban/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi shot martyred him in his clinic in Peshawar in a bid to silence the vocal supporter of oppressed Shiites of Parachinar.

Traffic remained very thin and shops were closed as the people mourned the targeted murder of Dr Riaz Shah in Kurrum Agency. He was laid to rest amid the slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS).
